70-year-old Freddy De Kerpel stand against 28-year-younger Ismail Abdoul in Ghent Boksgala

Freddy De Kerpel (70) Friday undecided celebrated in an exhibition match against the 28-year-younger Ismaïl ‘Cool’ Abdoul during the 22nd Ghent Boksgala. The Kerpel received after the camp, a golden boxing glove as a lifetime achievement award, in addition to a thunderous applause and standing ovation in a sold-out Topsporthal Vlaanderen.

During the 22nd Ghent Boksgala, among others, a Belgian title in the middleweight range between Kevin Ongenae and Kevin Vanderheyden on the program. This was a very nice birthday gift. I should definitely Ismail Abdoul, in my eyes, a very large boxer, to thank that he is today, my opponent wanted to be. For the camp I was bloednerveus. Certainly with this large turnout, but all my expectations met. I am a very satisfied man,” decided The Kerpel.
