Fans of Elton John will soon be able to make a bid on some of his most famous lyrics, such as ‘Candle in the wind’ and ‘I’m still standing’. The lyricist with whom he spent an eternity together, has decided to archive to clean up.
The most well-known lyrics of the singer in november, will be auctioned by Julien’s Auctions in New York. Estimators that ‘Candle in the wind’ a lot of money will yield. That was the song that he sang at the funeral of princess Diana.
The emotional number is considered to be one of the biggest hits of all time. After the funeral, there were a whopping 33 million copies sold. Despite the success, the singer afterwards, will never be the song sung live. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Aids Foundation that John himself has created.
