PARIS – The French Interior minister Gérard Collomb has Emmanuel Macron on Monday his resignation is offered. The president refused to agree. He wants one of his key allies will not be lost, writes the newspaper Le Figaro.
Collomb (71) had a couple of weeks ago intimated that he considered the government to leave in 2020 in an attempt to do to the mandate of Lyon. He would be after the European elections of may next year to say goodbye as a minister. Macron has, however, decided him not to let go.
