Herlings again dominant in the first series of MXGP, world title for Prado in MX2

Brand new world champion Jeffrey Herlings (KTM) Sunday in Imola, the first series of the Grand prix motocross of Italy in the MXGP won. Clément Desalle (Kawasaki) was third.

In series 1 of the last world cup race was Herlings for more than twelve seconds faster than the Slovenian Tim Gajser (Honda). The third place went to Desalle. Julien Lieber (Kawasaki) was fifth, Jeremy Van Horebeek (Yamaha) in eighth, Nathan Renkens (Honda) 24th, and Kevin Strijbos (KTM) 29th.

With the victory in the first series of the MX2 insured the 17-year-old Spaniard Jorge Prado (KTM) of the world title in that category. He is the successor of the Note Pauls Jonass (KTM), who after a surgery to the knee not in action came in Imola. Jago Geerts (Yamaha) was sixth, Brent Van doninck (Husqvarna) 15th.
