Stoffel Vandoorne: “No idea where I was on the starting grid sta”

The belgian Stoffel Vandoorne drove during the qualifying for the GP of Russia for the second time. Vandoorne will by some gridpenalty programs for other riders, however, some places win.

The McLaren MCL33 not really competitive at a circuit such as that of Sochi was this morning during the last training session already painfully obvious. During the qualification was the lack of performance just confirmed.

Alonso and Vandoorne reason the eighteenth and nineteenth time, far away from a possible spot in Q2.

“Things went for us here, anyway, a difficult weekend,” begins Vandoorne his back. “During the third training session this morning we saw that our car is not really strong performance.”

“We went towards the qualification, with the aim for the Williams riders to finish. We were able to today one of the two to beat. I don’t really know where we are after all the gridpenalty programs for other riders end up on the grid.”

After a difficult qualification will also undoubtedly be a difficult race to follow. Not ideal, although there is, according to Vandoorne little to do.

“It’s missing our car is at various levels of performance. The balance of the car is not always good but it feels reasonable. We generally have a lack of performance.”
