ATHENS – Greece is bracing itself for the arrival of heavy autumn storm Zorba. Those so-called mediterranean hurricane was located Friday morning in southwest part of peninsula Peloponnese, and slowly pulls to the east. The authorities fear for flooding and storm damage. They have taken the precaution of schools closed in areas where the storm is over it will pull. That report Greek media.
Athens was Thursday already burdened by heavy weather. The emergency services received hundreds of phone calls with requests for debris to take away.
