The KNVB is pleased with the selection of Germany as the organizer of the european CHAMPIONSHIP of 2024. The German bid received Thursday during a vote at the UEFA congress in Edinburgh in preference to Turkey.

KNVB chairman Michael van Praag, who was one of the voters was, says that the Turkish bid him could tempt.

“Both bids, also Turkey, were in fact attractive, well-documented, financially solid based and offered views on a superb european CHAMPIONSHIPS in the future.”
