The Belgian Cats play in the quarter-finals of the world cup basketball in Tenerife against France. The French basketvrouwen, on the three previous european CHAMPIONSHIP’s runner-up, knocked on Wednesday said Turkey 78-61 (rest: 38-27).
The Belgian Cats presented Tuesday their direct ticket to the quarter-finals safely after a 72-63 stuntzege, with the required nine points difference, against Spain. Belgium already played 38 times against France, but was able to eight times to win. The last Belgian victory dates back to the european CHAMPIONSHIPS of 2007, in the match for the seventh place. Ann Wauters and Marjorie Carpréaux played then all for the Belgians.
If Belgium wins, will play in the semi-finals Nigeria or the United States. The loser must go to the klassementswedstrijden.
