Mitchelton-Scott Wednesday the arrival of Edoardo Affini published. The 22-year-old Italian comes from the continental SEG Racing Academy and signed with the Australian WorldTour team a contract for two seasons.
Affini showed to be the past year one of the best time trialists in the beloftencategorie. He was, successively, Italian and European champion in the time trial and also won the race against the chrono on the Mediterranean Zeespelen. Furthermore, he was also Italian beloftenkampioen on the road.
Team manager Matthew White has high expectations of the Italian. “Edoardo is one of the greatest Italian talents of the last few years. He is super strong at the time and we would like to integrate in our classic team. We look forward to him to help his potential to develop in the coming years.”
