In Group E received Ajax in the first game against AEK Athens all to 18u55. Also in Group F , there was a contest what used to be finished. The German Hoffenheim seemed to be in Ukraine for a long time on the way to a small stunt against Shakhtar Donetsk, however, a fixed value in Europe. Florian Grillitsch opened up an early score after a beautiful attack, Ismaily made equal but still in the first half put Håvard Nordtveit, the Germans again on lead. Shakthar went in the second half frantically looking for the equalizer, but that occurred only in the 81e minute via Maycon. There was a final assault from Shakthar but the Germans held.
