The Dutchman Max Verstappen is during the GP of Singapore by the F1 fans voted ‘Driver of The Day’.
The Red Bull pilot had qualified as a second and should, therefore, in addition to Lewis Hamilton on the first weekend leave. At the start lost Verstappen a place to Sebastian Vettel, but on the first series of pit stops managed Verstappen managed to just before Sebastian Vettel on the track to remain.
Verstappen was next to Vettel from the pitlane driven but blokte the German with a beautiful maneuver that he eventually secured the second place on the podium. That was by the F1 fans obviously appreciated because Verstappen got them the most votes and therefore was elected ‘Driver of The Day’.
It was the second time this season that Verstappen to ‘Driver of The Day’ was elected. Lewis Hamilton, Sebastian Vettel and Daniel Ricciardo were this season three times already to ‘Driver of The Day’ will be elected.
