The Taiwanese Su-Wei Hsieh (WTA 40) has the Sunday of the race of the WTA-tournament in the Japanese city of Hiroshima (hardcourt/ $ 250,000) on the bag. The 32-year-old Hsieh beat in the final after an hour of tennis, the barely 17-year-old American Amanda Anisimova (WTA 134) in two sets (6-2 and 6-2).
For Hsieh, the second seed in Hiroshima, it was her third WTA title, after being in 2012 the tournaments in Kuala Lumpur and Guangzhou already had written. Anisimova, who by the qualifications in the main table had worked, was playing her first WTA final.
In 2015 was the final victory at the Japan Women’s Open, when in Tokyo played for Yanina Wickmayer. This year there were no Belgian women on the main table.
