The American Jessica Pegula (WTA 227) and Frenchwoman Pauline Parmentier (WTA 69) compete against each other in the final of the WTA tournament in Quebec (hardcourt/ $ 250,000).
Pegula surprised Saturday in the semi-finals her compatriot Sofia Kenin (WTA 67) in three sets: 4-6, 6-2 and 6-4. The party lasted just two hours. Parmentier showed in three sets and two hours and 37 minutes stronger than the British Heather Watson (WTA 107): 5-7, 6-3, 7-6 (7/5).
It is for the 24-year-old Jessica Pegula, the first WTA final of her career. The 32-year-old Parmentier played in her career three WTA finals and won them all. In 2007, she was the best in Tashkent, 2008 Bad Gastein, and this year in Istanbul. It is the first duel between the two tennissters.
