The Dutch actress Monique van de Ven gets this year’s Golden Calf for the film culture. The special Golden Calf is for people or organisations that have contributed in a special way have made for the Dutch film culture.
The board of the Dutch Film Festival (NFF), has Of the Of “elect” for its extensive contribution to and its importance for the Dutch film culture at the national and international area. “Monique has been since the beginning of her career as a real bridge-builder in the sector. She knew effortlessly from film to tv to turn it off and with the largest Dutch filmmakers and actors worked. She knows in her love for film people to connect.”
Van de Ven made his debut in ‘turks Fruit’ in 1973. She won in 1985 a Golden Calf for her work and in 1990 for best actress for her starring role in ‘Romeo’. Furthermore, she was under more to see in ‘Art’ and ‘Dokter Deen’. She gets the picture during the opening night of the film festival, Thursday 27 september.
Before it went de ereprijs, among others, to screenwriter Gerard Soeteman, producer Burny Bos, pr-queen Monique van Schendelen, actress Willeke van Ammelrooy and starring Rutger Hauer and Jan Decleir.
