Star Wars actor John Boyega, the British horror film “A Spriggan” from writer-director Keir Burrows (known from “Anti Matter”) products through its productiehus Upper Room Productions. That report Deadline.
“A Spriggan,’ tells how a widow, returning to the abandoned hotel from her father. The hotel turns out, however, far from abandoned, as it is the chosen site of a spriggan, a mythical creature from the British folklore, turns out to be.
According to that folklore are more spriggans verwand to Scandinavian trolls. They look like ugly, withered old men, with a head the size of a child. Also though they are small, yet they are seen as the spirits of giants, and so they have the opportunity to be much bigger. More spriggans are already the subject of a series of manga comics in Japan.
“I am delighted at the ‘A ‘ Spriggan’ team to join. I look forward to working together with Keir Burrows to the monsters of everyday life, exploring through the dark, fairy-tale world of the spriggan,” explains Boyega, who is currently busy with the shooting of J. J. Abrams’ “Star Wars IX”.
“A Spriggan” is the second film produced by Upper Room Productions, the production company of Boyega.
