At midnight has Eminem totally unannounced a new album, Kamikaze. The release is the more surprising because his previous album, Revival, that barely eight months ago came out.
The new album is produced by Dr. Dre and features guest appearances by Jessie Reyes, Joyner Lucad, Royce Da 5’9. The cover is already pressure discussed: that seems to be exactly the same as that of Licensed To Ill, the legendary debut album of Beastie Boys.
That cover shows the tail of a Boeing with the logo of the rap group and the vliegtuignummer ‘3MTA3’ – reverse ‘Eat me’ or ‘my back on’. The cover of Kamikaze bears the title and below the tail number ‘TICKU5’, conversely ‘Suck it’, which can mean as ‘brute bad luck’ or ‘accept it’.
That may well mean that the eternal evil Em was unhappy with the bad reviews of Revival, but not going is the musical drastic to throw. For the poor verstaanders carries the plane the song FU-2, ‘fuck you too’ or ‘and you can also my back’.
