Lisk starts Release of Lisk Core 1.0 for the Mainnet

Lisk has started the publication of Lisk Core 1.0 for the Mainnet. Through the use of the-written in JavaScript-Sidechain technology Left Sidechain Development Kit (SDK) allows developers to create powerful and scalable Blockchain applications, including providing their own user-defined Token.

Lisk-co-founder and Lightcurve-CEO Max Kordek commented on the publication as follows:

“Today begins a new Era for the Lisk Community. The path to Innovation is rarely smooth. We have addressed our stage of development in a methodical and measured and have taken no shortcuts. With great Pride we now announce Lisk Core 1.0. With this achievement we underline our claim of Innovation in the Blockchain Ecosystem forward.“

The series of technological advances that were released as part of Lisk Core 1.0, includes, among other things, the implementation of a socket cluster library. Other Updates include a public API extension and substitution, the introduction of numerous Code-Refactoren and a full Revision of the test Suite.

Lisk-(Co-)founders are optimistic

Lisk-co-founder and Lightcurve-CTO, Oliver Beddows said:

“This is one of the most important milestones for the Lisk-Ecosystem, and comes from a rigorous Test and development phase. In this Phase, we have developed 41 versions of Lisk Core. So we want to improve the scalability and stability of the future of the Blockchain Ecosystem. In order to make this major step with the release of Lisk Core 1.0 on Mainnet, we had to take a deep dive in the Code. That was for our Team to be very time-consuming, but also rewarding.“

The publication of Lisk Core 1.0 also includes a Redesign of the P2P-level. So the Team wants to maximize the performance and reliability of the network improve. Peers are now able to stay connected with each other, and data on a real-time Framework to exchange, provided by a leading Open-Source project, socket cluster.

“This is the latest step in the Left’s Mission, the creation of the Blockchain to simplify applications, to democratize the Blockchain and the benefits of technology to all. You can use the Lisk-Core code base as a template to develop new block chains. To these one can construct, in turn, revolutionary new applications. This is a necessary step to ensure the future stability and scalability of our Protocol, and to support a vibrant Ecosystem of Blockchain applications,“
