AUSTIN – A jury in Texas has a white policeman found guilty of murder for the shooting of a black teenager in a car in a suburb of Dallas in 2017. By the incident flared the debate in the USA about the racist police violence of last year.
The 38-year-old agent Roy Oliver was already a few days after the fifteen-year-old Jordan Edwards had been shot on non-active status by the police department of Balch Springs. The conviction of a policeman for shooting an unarmed citizen is rare in the US. The agent can be lifelong.
