Kirsten Flipkens gets rid of strong American and reached the second round at the US Open

Kirsten Flipkens (WTA 57) has on Tuesday placed for the second round of the US Open. The 32-year-old Campine knocked in the first round to American Coco Vandeweghe (WTA 25) in two sets: 6-3 and 7-6 (7/3). The party lasted for two hours.
