The eighth stage in the Tour of the Future is a prey for Gino Mäder. The Swiss has performed as a soloist after 81,1 km between La Bathie and Crest-Voland Cohennoz for the victory.
He took it with a lead of about 15 seconds on the Colombian Ivan Sosa, that the Alpenrit Thursday won. Robert Stannard was third. The Slovenian Tadej Pogacar, and keeps his leader’s jersey with a seven count ahead of Brandon McNulty. First countryman in the daguitslag was Harm Vanhoucke, 23rd on 40 seconds of the winner.
After the short stage from Thursday, 35,9 km, was also on Friday, a rather short Alpenrit on the program, 81,1 km, with arrival uphill and on the road to the Col des Saisies, 21.5 km to 5.7 percent. The initial stage experienced a lot of attacks and a group of eight it would be up to four km from the summit of the Col des Saisis uitzingen. Saturday is the queen’s stage in the program, about 83 km from Séez to Val d’isère with its three cols: la Montée des Arcs 1800 (12.7 km at 7,2%), la Cote des: One (7.7 km at 6,5%) and the climb to Val d’isère (11.4 km at 4,2%). Sunday ends the race. Last year, the new Egan Bernal to the winner for Bjorg Lambrecht.
