Imprisonment of the former president of South Korea increased

SEOUL – former South Korean president Park Geun-hye is on appeal to 25 years imprisonment. That reports news agency Yonhap. She was by the court inter alia found guilty of abuse of power and bribery.

Park had previously 24 years in prison. The court ruled that she and her imprisonment: Choi Soon-sil had conspired to billions of wons to get loose in companies. The money ended up in the foundations by Choi were monitored.

The prosecutors were against the judgment of the district court of appeal. They had initially thirty years in prison and a fine of 118,5 billion won demanded against the former president.
