CANBERRA – The Australian prime minister, Malcolm Turnbull will resign after a power struggle within his own Liberal party. That report Australian media Friday. Turnbull will be succeeded by Scott Morrison, the current minister of Finance.
Turnbull need to clear the field after the party members against him had turned. During the subsequent vote on the leadership of the party did three candidates. In addition to Morrison, were that the former Interior minister Peter Dutton and foreign minister Julie Bishop.
Morrison is the seventh prime minister of Australia in ten years time.
