The Est Tanel Kangert after eight seasons farewell of Astana. He put his cycling career in 2019 further at EF Education First – Drapac p/b Cannondale, the WorldTourploeg of Sep Vanmarcke and Tom Van Asbroeck.
“After eight years I found the time ripe to get out of my comfort zone to come,” says Tangert on the website of his / her future American employer. “I have for a French team (AG2R) and a Kazakh team driven, and was looking for a totally different environment. I look forward to new training methods, different program’s and new material. I want myself physically a bit more challenging. This team meets all the conditions.”
The 31-year-old Kangert has nine wins on his roll of honour. He won stages in the rounds of Switzerland and Abu Dhabi (which he in 2016 at bag put) and in the Giro del Trentino. In his own country, he is the reigning and four-time champion in time trials. In 2012, he picked up the national title on the road.
The Est also has a lot of experience in big rounds. This summer, he started for the fourth time in the Tour, which he, as the sixteenth discontinued. He also drove six times, the Giro three times and the Vuelta a españa.
