Good news for the former Sahara Force India F1 team, the renstal may this coming weekend to participate in the GP of Belgium. The renstal will be under a new name: Racing Point Force India F1.
The former Sahara Force India F1 team was placed under legal guardianship, and a consortium under the leadership of Lance Stroll, the father of the Williams F1 pilot, Lance Stroll, tried the renstal to take over. For the sake of all the financial and legal problems, and this worked, however, not for the GP of Belgium.
The consortium of Lance Stroll was subsequently decided to all of the assets of Sahara Force India F1 about to buy. These included the F1, factory, F1 cars and all the material. Actually everything was purchased except the F1 license.
This driving Racing Point Force India F1 Team under a new license, and is in fact a completely new F1 team at the start of the GP of Belgium. The disadvantage is that the Racing Point Force India F1 Team, no F1 points. With nine races to go is it as a result of last in the championship.
