BUENOS AIRES – Argentine police searches of the homes of former president Cristina Fernández de Kirchner. That occurs in the context of an investigation into systemic corruption in the top of previous governments. Kirchner led the country from 2007 to 2015, and was thus the successor of her now deceased husband Néstor Kirchner (1950-2010). She is now a senator.
The Senate gave special permission for the searches of three homes. Cristina Kirchner has her taken refuge in the home of her daughter Florencia in Buenos Aires, reported local media.
