Thibaut Pinot (28) has his contract with Groupama-FDJ extended by two years, until the end of 2020. That confirms the French WorldTourploeg Wednesday via Twitter.
Pinot has been driving since the beginning of his pro career in 2010 for the team (as Française des Jeux). His best result was reached in 2014, with a third place in the Tour (after Vincenzo Nibali and Jean-Christophe Péraud). He also won two stages in La Grande Boucle (in 2012 and 2015, Alpe d’huez).
In the Giro of 2017, won by Tom Dumoulin, was the Pinot as a fourth just next to the stage but he won quite a drive.
This weekend starts the Frenchman as leader of his team in the Vuelta. That great round he ended in 2013 as the seventh.
