EU wants stricter climate goals 2030

BRUSSELS – The European Commission is planning the official climate goals of the European Union to significantly increase. The EU wants to 2030, a reduction of emissions of greenhouse gases by 45 percent. Now that is another 40 percent as compared to the figures of 1990.

There is, in december, negotiated the rules for the Paris climate deal to renew. In 2015, the international community agreed to address the total warming of the earth to limit to a maximum of 2 degrees, if possible, even up to 1.5 degree.
