BARCELONA – The Spanish police will treat an attack on a Catalonian police station as terrorism. A man fell there a agent with a large knife. The police shot him to death.

The incident took place in an office of the Catalan police force, Mossos d ‘ Esquadra in Cornellà de Llobregat. The attacker had himself allegedly reported to seek information, but fell then to the policeman. The police on Twitter said that the man apparently “self wanted to die.”
Spanish media have previously message that the man “Allahu Akbar” (God is great) called, but the police can not confirm. “The agent can only remember that the word Allah is used. The rest was unintelligible,” said a police chief at a press conference. “We’re treating it currently, as a terrorist attack.”

The culprit is according to some media, a 29-year-old Algerian with no criminal record. The authorities wanted only confirm that the man “for years” in Spain was. There are, according to the police no indication that a terrorist organisation behind the attack.
