Fabio Van Den Bossche is Saturday on the penultimate day of the track cycling world CHAMPIONSHIPS for juniors in the Swiss Aigle on the eighth place finishes in the omnium.
The gold went after four disciplines (scratch, temporace, afvalling and points race) with 115 points to the Frenchman Donovan Grondan. He was on the podium flanked by the Dane Frederik Wandahl (111 points) and the Australian Blake Quick (106 points). VDB scored in total 83 points.
Earlier in the day won Shari Bossuyt bronze in the points race. The West-Flemish gave Belgium a first medal at the world CHAMPIONSHIPS. Bossuyt dragged into the slotspurt bronze from the fire. The Italian Silvia Zanardi won for the Australian Sarah Gigante.
With double rondewinst seemed to be the Italian Zanardi for gold to be moving up in the slot the Australian Gigante a second round ornate and about the Italian wipte.
Bossuyt began as fourth in the state at the slotspurt with double points. Zanardi took the ten points within and wipte about Gigante to gold. In her wake grabbed Bossuyt six points and that was enough to bronze to conquer. Zanardi earned 55 points, Gigante 51 and Bossuyt 39.
Earlier this week, ended Bossuyt already sixth in the scratch race and yesterday’s fifth in the omnium.
