Jan Ullrich has Saturday in the rehab clinic where he last week was recorded the visit received from his former rival Lance Armstrong. “It was great to have the day with this man, as you may know, I like Jan Ullrich”, posted the American in a photo on Instagram.
“Ullrich was a special rival for me. He instilled me with fear, motivated me and brought out the best in myself to the top”, was Armstrong. “On the bike, he was pure class. Today cooked by a heavy period. Therefore, I came to Germany to spend a few days with him. Think of john and pray for him. He has all of our support right now.”
The 44-year-old Ullrich won the Tour de France in 1997, when he was 23 years old. A second victory came never. However, he was four times second, three times behind Armstrong, his seven grand tour wins in 2013 after dopingbekentenissen was a part of. Ullrich was at the end of his career suspended due to doping. He also well-known in 2013 prohibited substances to have used.
Ullrich was forced to withdrawn after he was in a luxury hotel in Frankfurt under the influence of alcohol and drugs, a prostitute tried to strangle. A week previously he was in, Mallorca is also already in the handcuffs removed. On the Spanish island, he had his neighbor, the German actor Til Schweiger and his guests attacked.
So great to spend the day with this man. As many or y’all know, I love Jan Ulrich. He was such a special rival to me. He scared me, he motivated me, and truly brought out the best in me. Pure class on the bike. Fast forward to today and my friend is going through a rough patch. I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to come to Germany to spend a few days with him. Please keep Jan in all of your thoughts and prayers. He needs our support right now.
