MOSCOW/VIENNA – President Vladimir Putin will go next weekend to a wedding in Austria. The Kremlin, according to Russian media confirmed that Putin for his conversation with the German chancellor Angela Merkel in the southeast of Austria, is the wedding attended by the Austrian minister of Foreign Affairs Karin Kneissl.
The 53-year-old Kneissl married her a year older companion, the entrepreneur Wolfgang Meilinger. Kneissl is a partijloze politician who, on behalf of the right-wing populist FPÖ in the government of the conservative christendemocraat chancellor Sebastian Kurz. Also Kurz is on the guest list of Kneissl.
Putin speaks Saturday night in Meseberg, 70 km north of Berlin, with Merkel about Syria, Ukraine and energy issues such as pipelines for Russian gas.
