Security forces in Egypt have twelve terrorist suspects killed in fighting in the north of the Sinai peninsula, where a major military operation is underway against the terrorist group Islamic State.
The gunfight took place in the town of El Arish, after the security information had been given about the presence of “terrorist elements” in the region. Twelve terrorists were killed, on the side of the army, there were no victims.
Since the beginning of the offensive on 9 February came in all 250 jihadists and about thirty soldiers killed, according to official figures. On August 5, announced the authorities that in a few days time 52 jihadists were killed.
