HARARE – The head of the Zimbabwean opposition, Tendai Biti, is in your own country, indicted for the role he would have played at the out of hand protests against the outcome of the election. Tendai, appeared Thursday before the court.
The former minister of Finance Biti had Wednesday asylum applied for in the neighboring country of Zambia, but that country has acceded to his request. The Zambian authorities contributed Biti Thursday to Zimbabwe.
The oppositiepoliticus is not only indicted for involvement in violence in the aftermath of the presidential and parlementsverkiezing at the end of July. He is also accused of giving wrong information about the results.
