BOLOGNA – The devastating explosion of a tanker truck on a highway in the city of Bologna has a damage of 10 million euro. That is, according to the Italian news agency ANSA, the estimate of the local authorities.
Alderman Alberto Aitini told that two car dealers have been hard hit. By flying, burning debris went on their site many vehicles in flames. They represented a combined value of 5 million. Also got shops, homes and two schools in the area severely damaged.
The accident happened because the driver of a tanker with a flammable cargo Monday afternoon a file not saw and rammed all stationary truck. The result was a huge explosion and a searing fireball.
