Robert Redford goes with acteerpensioen. That has the 81-year-old American confirmed.

The Old Man & The Gun is probably the last film with Robert Redford. He plays a 70-year-old escaped prisoner on the part of, among others, Casey Affleck, Danny Glover, Sissy Spacek and Tom Waits. The film is in september at the Toronto International Film Festival premiere.
“Then I leave with a pension because I have been doing this since my 21st,” says Redford.
On the question of whether he is going to continue directing, he replies: “We will yet see.”
Redfords career was launched in the sixties. He played in blockbusters as All the President’s Men, The Great Gatsby, The Horse Whisperer and Out of Africa. During his long career he won two Oscars: one for best director in Ordinary People (1982) and a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2002.
