Demi Lovato spoke frankly about addiction: ‘I will continue to fight’

Pop star Demi Lovato makes a week and a half after being on the emergency room of the hospital no secret that she relapses. “I will continue to fight’, she writes in an open letter. She is glad that she is still alive, and immensely grateful for all steunberichten.

Fans of Demi Lovato held their breath when the singer at the end of July in the hospital was recorded. A heroin overdose, they said in the first posts. It seemed not even sure that their idol it would get. Her many accounts on social media were filled with steunberichten.

It did Lovato much virtue, she writes in an open letter that they Sunday night shared on social media. The 25-year-old pop star makes no secret that she relapses and is again drugs take, an addiction that her many years of haunts.

“I am always open about my experiences with addiction,” she writes. “What I’ve learned, is that disease is nothing that just disappears or ebbs. It is something that you must continue to overcome, and as far as I’m clearly not.’

Grateful

“I am thankful to God that I’m alive’, she writes. ‘And my fans, I am grateful for all the love and support. Your positive thoughts and prayers have given me through this difficult time helped.’

Lovato owes everyone in her entourage, ‘without whom I this letter to you wasn’t even able to write’. “I now need time to recover and me to focus on sober. The love that you have shown, I will never forget. I look forward to the day when everything is behind us. I will continue to fight.’
