HONOLULU – The remains of the about 55 American soldiers in North Korea were killed, arrived in the United States. During a solemn ceremony at Pearl Harbor in Hawaii were the coffins from military planes worn.
Vice-president Mike Pence was at the ceremony to present and held a speech. On Twitter he said, is not previously so honored to feel that the American president be allowed to represent. His father has fought in the Koreaoorlog. He came back with a medal on his chest. But my father – now all of 30 years died – told us that the real heroes of the Korean war were those who had not home again.”
Then follows the difficult process of getting the remains to identify. More than 7700 American soldiers in the Korean war, fought listed as missing. Of the got 5300 missing in what is now North Korea.
