A 49-year-old Belgian is Monday in the United States to life during a walking tour with his sixteen-year-old son in a popular canyon, where you only via a lottery.
The father and son were hiking in the Paria Canyon-Vermilion Cliffs Wilderness, on the border of the states of Arizona and Utah. They visited the famous rock formation The Wave, known for his striking color palette.
According to local media and news agency AP went wrong on the way back from the nine mile walk. The 49-year-old man became lost and threatened in the wrong direction to go. His son went away looking for help, after which the couple separated hit. On the route there are no signposts.
The teen called his mother, who was in a nearby hotel, to report that his father was lost and needed help. Together with other hikers and the police was a quest on its feet. It was more a helicopter is used.
