Union Sint-Gillis showed this summer is already very active on the transfer market, but got so far no new striker. This is changing now: the club 1B announced Monday that the Malian Frenchman Youssouf Niakaté of US Boulogne has won. Niakaté has signed a contract for three years with option for a further year.
The 25-year-old Niakaté comes from the French next to US Boulogne, the club where Franck Ribéry and N’Golo Kanté their first steps in professional football. Last season made a striker six goals in 25 league games. Niakaté enjoyed his youth at US also a cruzado Portuguese, after which he was in the French lower divisions for FCM Aubervilliers (2012-2014), US Avranches (2014-2016 differs) and US Créteil (2016-2017) came out.
Niakaté will be at Union, that Friday night season opens with an away game in Lommel, belgium, to compete with Roman Ferber and Mathias Fixelles.
