Star Wars star Mark Hamill calls his latest reunion with Carrie Fisher in the ninth movie in the series, bittersweet. The actor stood Sunday on Twitter think about the news that Carrie is still seen in the film, which at the end of 2019 suits.
“She is simply irreplaceable. I find solace in the fact that they are not being replaced and that they would have loved to see how lovingly the world reacted when the news became known,” writes Mark about the message from Disney last week that there is old footage of Carrie used for her storyline to close in the next film.
Also, according to director J. J. Abrams is Star Wars without Fisher unthinkable, so he let the publication know. “We would never be anyone else search or computer animations to use,” he explained about the future of the character Leia Organa. “With the blessing of her daughter Billie, we have found a way to Carrie’s legacy to honor.”
The brother of Carrie, Todd Fisher, responded also delighted at the return of his sister as a general, Leia. “Our family and its global family of fans to see Leia as a fundamental part of the film,” he said in a statement. “J. J. Abrams understands Carrie’s iconic role and he has her in a masterly way in this last part. The family and the fans are looking forward to that. Its ’force’ will always be with us.”
