‘Game of Thrones’star Peter Dinklage will be starring in film adaptation of Rapunzel

Actor Peter Dinklage, best known for his iconic role as Tyrion Lannister in the wildly popular ‘Game of Thrones’, would soon be the role of fairy tale character Rapunzel in a new film production. That writes showbizzmagazine Variety.

According to Variety, is Dinklage not only as an actor but also as producer on the project of the film studio Sony related. Patrick Ness, the bestselling author of novels such as ‘Chaos Walking’ and ‘A Monster Calls’ also have already been filmed, would write a script based on the brothers Grimm fairy tale.

The original fairy tale has its roots in stories that go back to 4000 years in the past. ‘Rapunzel’ is about a miller that against a king lies to his daughter to wire up gold can be spun. The kabouterachtige being Rapunzel – Rumpelstiltskin in English – appears and performs this for her, but demands her firstborn child in exchange. When she refuses, he agrees to take her leave alone on the condition that they his name might guess.

Details about the filming, or a possible release date are not yet published.

Dinklage is with this project, not to his film debut. Except in the tv series ‘Game of Thrones’ was the actor already on the big screen in ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ and ‘Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri. He will also appear in the tv-movie ‘My Dinner with Hervé’.
