The Russian Anastasia Potapova (STA-204) and Serbia’s Olga Danilovic (WTA 187), both of them only seventeen years old, the surprising finalists at the WTA-tournament in Moscow (gravel/ $ 750,000).
Potapova, who, thanks to a wildcard in the main table that was won in the first semi-final after a statement of the Slovenian Tamara Zidansek (WTA-90). At that time, had both players one-set win (3-6, 6-4) and led Potapova in the third set with 5-2. The party lasted just two hours.
Danilovic succeeded in the second semi-final battle for her hand. The Serbian defeated the White Russian fifth seed Aliaksandra Sasnovich (WTA-42) after 2 hour and 19 minutes tennis in three sets (6-2, 5-7 and 7-5).
Both Potapova as Danilovic for the first time in the final of a WTA tournament. The two played have not previously against each other.
