Polar bear injures German man on Spitsbergen

BERLIN – Svalbard is a man attacked by a polar bear. The German was a member of the crew of the cruise ship MS Bremen. He was wounded in the head and is by helicopter to Longyearbyen, the main city of the Norwegian archipelago in the Arctic Ocean.

The man went with other crew members to land on one of the islands when the polar bear suddenly appeared to him and attacked.
