Oud-Heverlee Leuven and wears the number 18 from the coming season. That has the club from 1B Wednesday announced. OHL used number 6142 since its establishment in 2002. “Number 18 gives more to the rich football history of the club”, as it sounds. Number 18 was worn by Stade Leuven, the oldest of the three clubs which in 2002 merged to OHL. 6142 was the number of Black Devils Oud-Heverlee.
“While the club builds to an exciting future under the leadership of King Power International, OHL decided to be a part of its glorious past are to be recovered. That glorious past was just the beginning of the story, which eventually led to the merger of three clubs to the current Oud-Heverlee Leuven”, reports OHL. “Oud-Heverlee Leuven was founded in 2002, by the merger of Stade Leuven, Black Devils Oud-Heverlee and Daring Leuven. The new club wore over the past sixteen years, the roll number is 6142. The club chooses from the start of the season 2018/19 for number 18, because that number better the rich Leuven football history reflects.”
