JERUSALEM – The Israeli armed forces have a drone shot down which was approaching from Syria. The army says the unmanned aircraft out of the sky to have a shot with a Patriot-luchtdoelraket. The authorities warned residents by sirens to blare on the occupied golan heights and the Jordanian border.
Israel has more to contend with drones from Syria. The Israeli army fired at the end of last month, a Patriot missile on a drone, but the projectile missed its target. A Syrian commander later said that the unmanned plane was responsible for operations in the south of Syria.
The Israeli authorities shall follow the advance of Syrian government troops in the golan heights and the border with Jordan with a critical eye. The regime of Syrian president Bashar al-Assad receives support from Iran and Hezbollah, the arch-enemies of Israel.
