The superheldenfilm ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp’ has a successful opening weekend behind us in the North American cinemas. With total ticket sales up to the value of 76 million dollar (64.6 million euro) to do the sequel it much better than the original ‘Ant-Man’. That film opened in 2015, with 57 million dollar, the euro 48,4 million euro.
‘Ant-Man and the Wasp’ – starring Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly and Michael Douglas – was known during last weekend’s no real competition at the box office in North America. ‘The First Purge’, also a newcomer in the movie theatres, limped far behind with a yield of 17 million dollars or 14.4 million euro.
‘Incredibles 2’ took second place in the ranking of ‘Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, but came with a sale of 29 million dollars (24.6 million euro) is not even close to box office winner ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp’. Those figures are today to read on the entertainmentwebsite Variety.
