The French actress Emmanuelle Seigner refuses to go on the invitation to become a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the Oscars awards. The Academy suspended her husband Roman Polanski two months ago, and Seigner accuses the organization in a column of “hypocrisy”.
Seigner is one of the 928 people from the film world, which last month an invitation received from the Academy, but accepts that invitation.
“The Academy probably thinks that I am an actress am without a backbone and that I forgot that I already had 29 years are married to one of the best directors,” writes the actress in the text with the title “Non merci!”, which they also the “unbearable hypocrisy” sheets.
