TUNIS – six Tunisian policemen to life by an attack near the border with Algeria. It is the deadliest attack in the North African country since 2015.
State news agency TAP reported that nine people have been killed, the Interior ministry reported six deaths. The agents walked into an ambush during a patrol in the northwest of the country, near the border with Algeria. “The terrorists threw a grenade on the front car, and followed by a gunfight”, citing the news agency a source within the authorities.
In 2015, several large-scale terrorist attacks committed in the country. In march, shots of terrorists 22 people, mostly western tourists, a death in the Bardo museum in the capital, Tunis. In June followed the bloody attack on tourists on the beach of Sousse. A terrorist shot 38 people dead. Most of the victims were British.
