The American actor Ben Stiller has been appointed ambassador of the UN refugee organisation UNHCR. That is, the organization announced yesterday. Stiller is currently on a visit in Guatemala, where he met people who in their homes had to flee due to the ongoing violence.
“I have here in Guatemala, families and children meet who are vulnerable and immense suffering have experienced. They need help,” said the actor in a press release from the UNHCR.
The actor has been a few years for the refugee organisation. He has in the past two years refugees in Germany and Jordan met, and supported the #withrefugees campaign by the UNHCR.
Ben Stiller is especially known thanks to his roles in various comedy movies such as “Dodgeball” and “Zoolander”. The actor supports UNHCR is active since 2016.
