There are few shifts in the top of the new ATP ranking. David Goffin keeps his ninth place and also the rest of the top 15 remains unchanged.
The Spaniard Rafael Nadal leads the rankings for the Swiss Roger Federer, who from today/Monday as the defending champion goes in search of a ninth victory on the grass of Wimbledon. The German Alexander Zverev follows at a safe distance from the two tenors as number three in the ranking.
Goffin is ninth but has at Wimbledon no points to defend. Last year he missed the tournament after all, after Roland Garros, an ankle injury had suffered. His best result at the All England Club was a fourth round (2015 & 2016). The Liège, the only Belgian in the top hundred, opens Tuesday with a match against the Australian Matthew Ebden (ATP 51).
The best jump in the world ranking this week in the name of Mischa Zverev. The older brother of Alexander won Saturday in Eastbourne, his first ATP title. The ranking is climbing up the German 26 places to number 41. The Slovaak Lukas Lacko, losing finalist, nip 21 positions up and 73rd.
The Bosnian Damir Dzumhur goes after his tournament victory in Antalya, the seven banks to move forward and ends up on place 23.
